Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center– On any given day visitors may participate in tepee pitching, try their hand at scraping a hide, listen to the firing of a blackpowder musket or watch a buckskin-clad volunteer skin and stretch a beaver pelt. The center is situated on a rocky bluff just a few hundred yards up the river from Giant Springs park. This spectacular $6 million center features historical artifacts, interactive exhibits, nature walks and a 20 minute movie by award winning film maker Ken Burns. The new center should continue to feature many activities as the 200th anniversary of the Lewis & Clark Expedition is celebrated. Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation Library is located here as well.
